Meaford's Chamber of Commerce has announced a special contest as part of the Passport Meaford initiative. The contest will be held during the upcoming BIA Christmas Window Unveiling event which takes place on the evening of Saturday November 19.
“The Passport Meaford campaign has been a great opportunity for Meaford residents and visitors to get to know 24 of our unique local businesses and to take advantage of their special offers,” said the Chamber in a media release.
Participants in the Passport Meaford program should return their stamped passports to the Chamber of Commerce, office or the Meaford Hall box office by December 30 for a chance to win the “Meaford Experience” prize package or $500 in Meaford Bucks.
The big winner will be announced at the Mayor’s Levee on New Years Day.
Participants also have until the end of the year to take advantage of the special offers included in the Passport Meaford package.
“The special offers are valid until the end of the year, so take this opportunity to do some of your holiday shopping in town and support our local businesses,” says the Chamber.
As an extra incentive, a special contest will be held during the upcoming BIA window unveiling.
You can bring your passport downtown for a chance to win a special prize of four tickets to “The Nutcracker”, presented at Meaford Hall on December 17 by the Fleetwood Dancentre.
Show your passport at any of the open businesses, or at the Chamber office and fill in a ballot for the contest. You can enter the contest as many times as you like so visit all of them!
The Annual Window Unveiling is on Saturday November 19th, 7 to 9 PM. This year’s theme is "All I Want for Christmas".
“Come and browse the shops, share in goodwill, and catch the holiday spirit with family and friends. There will be hot chocolate and cider to keep you warm and a Chili Tasting Contest with winners being decided by public vote,” suggests the Chamber.
