E-mail Print PDF

blogiversary_oilMeaford's eco-friendly toy store Evolve has turned a year old and has teamed up with two other local businesses to throw a party for the community.

Samantha McInnis- owner of Evolve along with The Meaford Independent, and Scotch Mountain Meats will be celebrating the 1st anniversary of the opening of the establishment on Saturday June 26th in the parking lot behind the store which is located beside Stedman's on Sykes Street.

The party is more than just a birthday bash, it is a coming together of three young local entrepreneurs who each have a deep love for their community and want to celebrate Meaford and it's residents by holding a special event just for them.

Beginning at 1:00 pm on Saturday June 26th, clowns will be entertaining the little ones followed by a fabulous magic show at 2:00.

James McIntosh of Scotch Mountain Meats, along with some other local food producers will have plenty of treats for visitors to enjoy.

There will also be music, games, and some unexpected fun and surprises.

Another important goal of the event is to raise some money for the school libraries at Ecole St. Vincent Euphrasia Elementary School, and Meaford Elementary School.

Throughout the afternoon Stephen Vance, Editor of The Meaford Independent will be offering party attendees young and old the opportunity to have their face on the front page of The Meaford Independent. For a $2 donation which will go to the school libraries, we will take your photo, and insert it into the front page, and then a printed copy can be taken home to hang on the fridge- something that is sure to make mom smile.

There will also be other opportunities to provide financial donations for the school libraries.

Everyone is welcome, so come on out on Saturday June 26th, and celebrate the first birthday of Meaford's unique eco-toy store.

More importantly, let us celebrate you- Meaford, because without the members of our community there would be no Evolve, Scotch Mountain Meats, or The Meaford Independent- So on behalf of Samantha McInnis, and James McIntosh, The Meaford Independent thanks all of you for the support and encouragement that you have given to us.

We hope to see you there.
