I have the Heart of Meaford & Municipality, in MY Heart. And I believe I have a plan, that working together, will work. And this is IT.
We need to sort, reorganize & discard.
Here is an example. After the 55 + Club meeting on Tuesday, I went home and decided to find out, again, how this feels. Imagine this, cleaning a closet, your desk, a tractor shed or your car. Where do we start.? First we must make decisions. Keep, relocate or discard. Well I chose to do this by example, so I picked my sewing/quilt room. My most used & messiest room in my home.
Each step was hard, first to sort, then to relocate and THEN to discard. These were necessary steps to freedom and, I believe I can now accomplish more than I could on Monday. Can we put this same method in our local Government? I believe we can and and it will work.
We will need to monitor our successes and failures constantly. We need to see the whole picture and not get blindsided by our own personal feelings, but strive to consider all peoples.
I refuse to point fingers, and always want to be positive, but healthy change is good change. My only promise to you the voter is to listen, look for the positive and be ready to step up when needed. I covet your vote for me in October. Respectfully.
On a personal note...I am a wife, mother, grandmother & great grandmother. At one period in my life I had 4 teenagers. So I know how to negotiate and delegate. I have a Mentally Challenged son and a disabled husband, so I know how to tackle and plough through red tape to achieve results that help both of them, and give me more knowledge to help others.
I believe in Meaford. I am a Cancer Volunteer driver, a founding member of Soupor Meal, a community wide meal that serves ALL of Meaford, an active member of Cook Street Pentecostal, also very active in the Bighead River Foodgrains and the Runnaway Quilters, who put on such a wonderful show this summer, bring many visitors to Meaford.
I love Meaford.
