The recent resolution that came before Council on October 9 concerning a private rooftop rental agreement for a solar power plant brought many questions to bear on how and why such a resolution would come before our council for consideration.
The nature and the wording of the resolution was meant to request Council’s “support without reservation” for the project in order to boost its chances in front of the Ontario Power Authority who regulate, award and manage the Feed In Tariff (FIT) contracts.

Over the last few months, there has been much discussion around the Municipality of Meaford Council table concerning our role, or lack of role, in the current Recreational Centre proposed for Victoria Park, Owen Sound.
