I know it is rather un-Canadian to admit, but I am not a fan of hockey. Sure, I can name a couple of teams, but other than some Crosby guy, I wouldn't recognize a current player if he was right in front of me in full gear.
So it is with some amusement, as well as a lot of frustration, that I listen to the folks calling into radio programs expressing their own frustration – if not outright anger - with the lack of professional hockey taking place this season. I fully understand that if you enjoy something, you want access to it, and you want it to always be there for you.
