Student Mental Health Conference Returns For Second Year

classroom3For the second year in a row, the Bluewater District School Board Student Senate is making student wellness a priority by hosting a conference where students from Bluewater schools can learn about and discuss mental health issues in our community.

The “S.O.S.” (Support our Students) student mental health conference takes place on Thursday, May 30 at Georgian College in Owen Sound from 9:00 a.m. until 3:30 p.m.

GBSS to Stage Adaptation of The Princess Bride

princess-bride2I recall in my early years a springtime variety show in Toronto called “Spring Thaw”. It was a treat for all ages and more than a few popular artists made their debut performing in Spring Thaw.

Suddenly, “Spring Thaw” was not only the thing to see, but also the thing to do. The local theatre groups and high school drama clubs caught the fever and everyone suddenly had a spring production.

So it is with our own GBSS.
