SVE to Celebrate 40 Years

E-mail Print PDF

SVE_SketchThis year marks the 40th anniversary of the opening of Ecole St. Vincent-Euphrasia Elementary School which officially opened it's doors in September of 1970.

At that time many rural students who had previously attended one room rural schools began taking buses into town to join their peers at the unique open concept school.

To celebrate this anniversary, former students, staff and members of the community are invited to visit the school on Wednesday September 15 from 2-5 in the afternoon.

There will be an opportunity to view pictures and displays and to share stories with SVE alumni and staff. You will also be able to tour the school which today operates as an both an English and French Immersion facility serving grades Junior Kindergarten through to grade five.

Students who currently attend SVE will also be able to bring their families to the school on that date for the annual 'Meet the Teacher' night.

For further information you can contact the school at 519-538-1950.
