Kids in the Meaford Hall is pleased to announce that a strong team of live theatre enthusiasts has been assembled, to produce a great "Twas the night before Christmas" show .
They are now ready to hold the all important auditions to fill some 15 roles for the main cast, as well as some additional spots for understudies.
Auditions have been scheduled to be held at the MCS school 186 Cook Street, on Tuesday September 14 and Thursday September 16, 2010 from 6:00pm to 8:00pm.
It is hoped that there be a great interest to be part of a fabulous cast of males and females from ages 12 to adult as they bring to life the chaotic Christmas preparations at the Sheldon family.
Director Gary Simon is a master in directing and teaching the art of acting. There is no experience needed. Rehearsals are scheduled to commence September 21, 2010.
Actual show times are on December 9 at 10:00 am and 1:30 pm for all Children of our Municipality who will enjoy free admission thanks to local sponsors, and on December 10 at 2:00pm and at 7:00pm for adults with an admission charge of $15.
All money raised will go towards a new show in 2011. It is the goal of Kids in the Meaford Hall to make this "Christmas gift to the "Children of our Municipality" an annual event.
The shows will be performed at the fabulous Meaford Hall Theatre.
Twas the night before Christmas was written by Michele L. Vacca and is produced by special arrangement with CLASSICS ON STAGE! of Chicago.
