logo_100mileplaywrightThe Grey-Bruce Arts Collective is holding auditions for actors to participate in The 100 Mile Playwright Festival. They are looking for actors with a strong commitment to new Canadian plays.

Those interested will need to be available Tuesday September 28 to Sunday October 3 for rehearsals and performances.

This project brings together the Beautiful Joe Heritage Society, local members of the advisory committee for the Tank Range Project, professional actors, directors, playwrights and our rich local talent.

Three plays will be workshoped: An Adaptation of Beautiful Joe; The Tank Range Project (a play about the expropriation of land north of Meaford and the birth of the LFCATC); and a play written by a young local playwright, Megan McKay, winner of “From the Page to the Stage: Youth Playwriting Contest.”

Auditions will be held on September 10, 7pm to 10pm, at Meaford Hall. Those interested should call the Grey-Bruce Arts Collective at 519-538-4903 to book an audition time.
