Acclaimed Road Warrior Coming to Meaford Hall

zoom fred1wFor the fifth time in as many years, acclaimed Canadian singer-songwriter Fred Eaglesmith will bring his unique brand of alternative-country mixed with a healthy dose of rock-n-roll to Meaford.

Eaglesmith will perform at Meaford Hall on Friday April 5, and he told The Independent in a recent interview, that he is looking forward to returning Meaford.

Legendary Canadian Blues Guitarist to Perform in Clarksburg

jackdekeyzerelectricloveHis career has spanned more than three decades, and has earned him two Juno awards, along with a host of other accolades. Jack de Keyzer is bringing those years of dedication to his craft to the Marsh St. Centre tonight (March 22).

While he has previously earned Juno awards in 2003 and 2010, de Keyzer arrives in the area this week as a current Juno nominee with his latest project “Electric Love” up for Blues Album of the Year.

Meaford Resident Wins Governor General's Award

monahan ee 2010 2Meaford resident Gordon Monahan was among seven Canadians presented with the 2013 Governor General's Award in Visual and Media Arts at a special reception held in Montreal on Tuesday March 12.

Monahan is the creator and director of the annual Electric Eclectics Sound Art festival which has been held on Scotch Mountain in Meaford in each of the past seven years.
