Ice Dreams a Success

E-mail Print PDF

icedreams2012More than 200 skaters participated in the Ice Dreams competition hosted over the weekend by the Meaford Skating Club.

The Skate Canada sanctioned event attracted skaters from all over Central Ontario, and organizers were pleased with both the calibre of the competition, and the attendance over the two day event.

Those who attended were treated to non-stop figure skating action from skaters of all ages.

The event, which helped to raise much needed funds for the Meaford Skating Club, required a team of dedicated volunteers in order to make it happen.

“It's been a lot of work. There's been a committee of about six people that have done tons and tons of work, and then there's all of the volunteers that helped this weekend donating food, decorating and manning the tables, and helping the skaters get on the ice on time,” explained Kristin Davies whose two daughters are active in the Meaford Skating Club.
