Someone once said that to understand the term “expert”, one must first understand that an “ex” is a “has been”, and a “spurt” is a “drip under pressure”. Nowhere is this more evident recently than in describing our so-called economic “ex-spurts”, specifically the shills at the International Energy Agency.
The IEA is the intergovernmental body responsible for monitoring, advising, and reporting to governments on issues of oil supply and demand, pricing, and related policy. Sort of like the “world bank” of oil, their opinions are generally held as gospel by governments around the world.



The Community Foundation Grey Bruce, through a bequest from the late Betty MacKay of Owen Sound, has been given the opportunity to present a Matched Funding Program to over 20 organizations across Grey & Bruce counties.
Solutions to the economic/ecological challenge of the day was the topic discussed by author and educator Mike Nickerson, when he spoke at the Meaford & District Chamber of Commerce breakfast last Thursday to mark the launch of the second edition of his book, "Life, Money & Illusion; Living on Earth as if we want to stay".
