Promoted by the Canadian Patient Safety Institute (CPSI), STOP! Clean Your Hands Day supports hand hygiene for healthcare professionals, frontline caregivers, allied health and support staff. Hygiene refers to actions that improve cleanliness and lead to good health. Hands can spread many diseases when they are not washed appropriately at key times.
