Wash and Cook Fiddleheads to Prevent Illness

fiddleheadsGrey Bruce residents are being reminded to thoroughly wash and cook fiddleheads before they are consumed to avoid illness. Fiddleheads are curled, edible shoots of the ostrich fern. Considered a seasonal delicacy, fiddleheads are collected in the wild and are commonly eaten at this time of year.

Meaford Blood Donor Clinic Well Attended

medi_heart_Walter_GroeselCanadian Blood Services held a blood donor clinic in Meaford on Thursday May 3rd at the Meaford and St. Vincent Community Centre.

One hundred and six donors attended the clinic and 84 units were collected while 22 donors were deferred.
