New Local Band to Debut at The Wharf on Friday

The local music scene will see the debut of a new Meaford-based band on Friday (May 10) as “Bighead” performs at The Wharf.

The band is comprised of four local musicians - Bill Monahan, James Kokkinen, Glenn Palmer, and Ron Stern. Three of the band members own businesses in Meaford, and the forth is enjoying retirement.

GBSS to Stage Adaptation of The Princess Bride

princess-bride2I recall in my early years a springtime variety show in Toronto called “Spring Thaw”. It was a treat for all ages and more than a few popular artists made their debut performing in Spring Thaw.

Suddenly, “Spring Thaw” was not only the thing to see, but also the thing to do. The local theatre groups and high school drama clubs caught the fever and everyone suddenly had a spring production.

So it is with our own GBSS.
