The Meaford and District Fire Department will be hosting their annual open house on Saturday, October 7 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., and organizers say that it promises to be the best one yet.
Come out to the Fire Station at 81 Stewart Street for your chance to 'touch a truck', from cranes, dump trucks, tractors, and loaders, to a hydro bucket truck, dump truck, grader, and a lumber/boom truck.
There’s something to do for the whole family, including face painting, a photo booth, fire hose targets, snacks, and a pizza lunch. The OSPCA, Georgian Triangle Humane Society, and Crime Stoppers will also be joining in with this year’s fun.
Demonstrations this year will include auto extrication, live fire extinguisher demo, ladder truck demo, car fire, and more.
A free pizza lunch and snacks will be served.
