Anxiety is now recognized as the most common emotional disorder in many countries, based on a recent study by the World Health Organization.
Anxiety in children diminishes their intellectual, emotional and social development as well as their physical health. Children today deal with an increasing number of stressful issues, including violence in society and the media. The result is a “shell-shocked” generation of children, many of whom suffer from significant anxiety.



The Meaford Museum will be hosting a Royal Ontario Museum travelling exhibition entitled "Canada at Play: 100 Years of Games, Toys and Sports" at Meaford Hall from June 6 to July 28.
