After another round of debate, Meaford Councillors gave final approval to an amended subsidy plan aimed at assisting parents of children who participate in sport programs in Owen Sound.

On the night he was to be promoted from Deputy Treasurer to Meaford's Director of Financial Services and Treasurer, filling the void left when David Kennedy was unceremoniously dismissed in September of last year, Michael Humble instead announced his resignation.

Humble joins an ever growing list of senior managers who have left the municipality in the last 13 months.
