Accidental Discharge of Firearm Sends Man to Hospital

A 55 year old Meaford man was treated for a gun shot wound to his left leg after the firearm he was doing maintenance work on accidentally discharged.

On Friday, February 3, 2012 at approximately 6:15 p.m. Grey County OPP was called by staff at the Meaford Hospital to attend the hospital after a man had arrived with a gun shot wound to his leg.

Grey County OPP is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the driver/vehicle which struck a white, 2003 Nissan Maxima parked at Bill’s Valu-Mart on Hwy. 26 in Meaford between 5:15 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 1, 2012.

Meaford Man Charged With Failing to Comply With Court Orders

Grey County OPP has charged a 33 year old Meaford man with failing to comply with court orders after he was found to have been drinking.

On Wednesday, February 1st, 2012, at approximately 11:25 pm, a Grey County OPP officer observed the lone man standing next to his vehicle which was in the lot of a closed gas station in Singhampton on Grey Rd. 124 in the Municipality of Grey Highlands. There was evidence to suggest the man had been drinking.
