Traffic Stop Results in Impaired Charge

cruiser_lights_225A Meaford woman is charged with having over 80 mg of alcohol in her blood following a traffic stop on St. Vincent Street in the Town of Meaford.

On Saturday, January 28, 2012 at approximately 1:19 a.m. a Grey County OPP officer conducted a traffic stop on St. Vincent Street, Meaford.

The driver of the 2005 Mazda M3Z appeared to have been drinking. After failing a road side breath test, the driver was taken to the Meaford OPP Detachment for additional breath tests.

Her test results indicated a blood/alcohol content level higher than the legal limit.

The 35 year old Meaford woman is scheduled to appear in Owen Sound Court on February 16, 2012.
