Police Seeking Assistance in Parking Lot Collision

cruiser_lights_225Grey County OPP is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the driver/vehicle which struck a white, 2003 Nissan Maxima parked at Bill’s Valu-Mart on Hwy. 26 in Meaford between 5:15 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 1, 2012.

This is the second incident within two weeks where a vehicle has been damaged in the parking lot and the suspect driver/vehicle left the scene.

Any one who may assist is asked to contact the OPP at 1-888-310-1122. Constable Kevin GREEN is the investigating officer.

Motorists are required to report a collision that occurred “anywhere” if the damage apparently exceeds $1,000.00 and or if there are personal injuries; whether they were directly or indirectly involved as per section 199(1) of the Highway Traffic Act. The penalty for failing to report a collision is a total of $110.00 and 3 demerit points.
