E-mail Print PDF
Chatsworth, ON –An early morning traffic stop on November 15 by Grey County OPP officers netted a quantity of drugs. The driver faces several charges.

At about 3 am officers conducted a traffic stop on Highway 26 west of Meaford.  The driver was unable to produce a drivers’ licence or other identification so he provided his name and particulars verbally.

After a brief investigation the officers concluded the name provided was false and arrested him. Subsequently he was found to be a suspended driver and during a search of the vehicle a quantity of psilocybin (magic mushroom), marihuana, packaging, scales and other paraphernalia was found.

A 27 year old Meaford man is charged with Breaching Probation (Criminal Code), Possession and Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking (Controlled Drugs and Substances Act) and Driving While Suspended (Highway Traffic Act).  He is in custody and will appear for a bail hearing this morning in the Ontario Court of Justice-Owen Sound.
