On October 8, 2017 at 8:01 p.m., the Grey County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a report of a home invasion at a residence along Eliza Street in Meaford. Officers arrived to find that a male party had attended the home with a weapon and made demands for property. The man was gone before police arrived.

This reminder comes after two seniors in Grey County were scammed out of thousands of dollars in a credit card scam.
On October 2, after an ongoing investigation, Grey County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) arrested and charged a 27 year-old male from Owen Sound with sexual assault and sexual exploitation.
On September 10, Grey County OPP received a report of a sexual assault that had occurred in the Municipality of Meaford involving a 17 year-old female.
On September 23, at approximately 12:46 p.m., Grey County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a report of a disturbance in the Tim Horton's parking lot located on Sykes Street South in the Municipality of Meaford.
A physical altercation occurred between two men after one of the males drove his vehicle through the parking lot in a dangerous manner while the other male was attempting to park his vehicle. No injuries were reported.
