The second funding cycle for Diamond Jubilee Community Celebrations has been launched by Canadian Heritage.
Funding will be available from Canadian Heritage for communities wishing to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the reign of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II as Queen of Canada.
Celebrations will highlight Canada’s rich history and tradition and her Majesty’s dedicated service for the past 60 years.
“I encourage communities across Bruce and Grey Counties to consider seeking funding from this program to celebrate the Queen’s 60 years of service,” said Larry Miller, M.P. for Bruce-Grey-Owen Sound. “These celebrations can help us to build a sense of pride and pay tribute to our rich history.”
The deadline for applications in this second funding cycle is May 7, 2012. The application form is available online at www.pch.gc.ca/eng.
