Red is: passion, heat, energy and anger, which is what you’ll feel, if you miss this opportunity to experience an evening of scintillating professional burlesque, coupled with erotic art.
New ground is being broken with a strategic partnership between these two cultural organizations that have created a night like no other...a memorable, adults only, Valentine’s Day event.
Erotic art from the Tom Thomson Art Gallery’s permanent collection will be exhibited at the Roxy Theatre, and on stage you will be treated to the delights of Les Coquettes, Canada’s premier professional cabaret burlesque troupe.
As Remy de Gourmont said “Art is the accomplice of love. Take love away and there is no longer art.” This special evening offers attendees a chance to have both.
Virginia Eichhorn, Director & Curator of the Tom Thomson Art Gallery stated that, “the last time a show like this was onstage in Owen Sound was likely during prohibition”.
Martinis, sinfully sweet desserts, luscious draws and good company are all on the menu.
“Seeing Red is a deliciously creative partnership that will make history in this area”, commented Aly Boltman, Theatre Manager, Roxy Theatre.
Tickets for “Seeing Red” are now on sale at the Roxy Box Office, 519-371-2833 or online at www.ticketscene.ca" by searching Seeing Red; and will soon be available at the Tom Thomson Art Gallery, 519-376-1932.
