The popular Harbour Nights Concert Series kicks off its tenth season with a blaze of electric guitars at a special fundraising concert indoors on May 29th.
The weekly blend of talented local performers and special guests then runs every Sunday evening from June 26th to August 14.
The May 29th concert at the Owen Sound Legion Memorial Auditorium is called The Axeman Summit, and features five of the area’s finest electric guitarists with a rocking band and special guests.
Tickets are $10 in advance and $12 at the door.
Ticket outlets include The Downtown Bookstore, Fromager Music on 8th Street, Music & More on 10th Street (all in Owen Sound), and Stuff to Read on Sykes Street in Meaford.
Weekly concerts take place June 26, July 3, 10, 17, 24 and 31, and August 7 and 14, on the West Harbour beside the Visitor Centre, 1155 1st Avenue West, Owen Sound. Audiences are reminded to bring their own lawn chairs for the weekly Sunday concerts, which begin at 7:00 p.m. Admission is free – donations are encouraged.
Harbour Nights Concert Series is presented by TD Canada Trust, the City of Owen Sound, Bayshore Broadcasting and other community-minded sponsors. It is one of many special events promoted under the Celebrate Summer Owen Sound banner.
