Deck Collapse Update

Two of the six people injured as a result of deck collapsing have been discharged from Markdale Hospital. A two year old Markdale boy and a 16 year old Georgian Bluffs man have been released.

The others, a 24 year old Markdale male, remains in Markdale Hospital; a 24 year old Markdale female was transferred to Victoria Hospital in London by land ambulance; a four year old Markdale boy remains in London’s Children’s Hospital; and a 38 year old Georgian Bluffs man remains in Markdale Hospital.

Deck Collapses Injuring Six People

On Tuesday, July 24, 2012 at approximately 7:13 p.m. Grey County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a report of a deck that had collapsed, injuring six people.

The incident occurred at a second storey apartment above a commercial business on Toronto Street South, Markdale, in the Municipality of Grey Highlands.

Infinite Glassworks Spring Studio Open House

glassworksA local glass-maker is holding an open house that will provide a burst of colour in time for the spring season.

“We are excited to fling open the doors for spring!” says Kate Civiero of Infinite Glassworks in Eugenia, “We have new blown glass objects for the home, and lots of our signature square bottle, triangle tumblers and more.”
