walker at debateMPP Bill Walker says the Liberal-NDP voting block owes his constituents in Bruce-Grey-Owen Sound an explanation after voting down a PC bill that contained many of the changes municipalities across Ontario have been asking for.

Our 'Capacity to Pay Act' was a chance to stop the fiscal damage caused by the Liberal government over the past decade that saw municipalities forced into raising taxes to pay for wage and benefits hikes,” Walker says.

MPP Walker Stands Up for Skilled Trades

Bruce-Grey-Owen Sound MPP Bill Walker rose in the Legislature to speak against the Liberal government’s tax on skilled tradespeople.

The debate was part of a PC Opposition Day motion at Queen’s Park on Wednesday to abolish the controversial new College of Trades and its new tax on tens of thousands of tradespeople from electricians to hairdressers.
