MPP Walker Asks Minister to Cancel Fee Hikes on Used Tires

During Wednesday’s question period at Queen’s Park, local MPP Bill Walker rose to advise the governing Liberals of how the pending 1,000-per-cent hike to recycling fees on used tires is going to hurt the farming, contracting and small business industries.

Walker is concerned that starting next week, some tire stewardship fees in Ontario are increasing between 400 and 2,200 per cent.
