Local MPP Bill Walker says declining enrolment and a per-student funding formula that shortchanges rural Ontario are the key reasons behind Bluewater District School Board’s continuous budget woes.

Walker says he is disappointed that the Liberal government has not fixed the funding formula despite promising to do so during every election campaign they have won since 2003.

As The Torch of Life relay passes through Bruce-Grey-Owen Sound, local MPP Bill Walker is in a race of his own against all 106 members of provincial parliament to see whose riding can bring in more organ and tissue donations.
