Bluewater District School Board Launches New Mobile App

Staff

The Bluewater District School Board has announced the launch of a brand new mobile app to broaden communication and better connect with parents/guardians, students, staff, and the community.

Users can now download the free app on their Apple iOS or Android mobile devices by visiting the App Store or Google Play, or through the launch page on the board website by clicking here.

In one convenient and user-friendly location, the new Bluewater District School Board mobile app features several modules linking to popular areas of interest, such as School Cash Online, school bus cancellations/delays, media releases, social media, school listings that include Google maps and contact details, and a wealth of curriculum-related information and resources. Users can also opt in to receive push notifications, which will be introduced at a later date (to be determined), featuring the latest news and updates from the school(s) of their choice. App content will be updated and enhanced on an ongoing basis with some exciting new additions to increase engagement already planned for the near future.

We are thrilled to build upon our communications and community engagement efforts by launching our new mobile app, which will allow users to stay up-to-date with the information most pertinent to them from the convenience of their mobile devices,” says Director of Education Alana Murray. “This is only the beginning. We are already looking forward to announcing soon some significant enhancements that will transform the methods by which our board and schools communicate with parents and guardians.”

Bluewater District School Board’s new mobile app was developed by West Corporation, a trusted provider of SchoolMessenger communications solutions.
