The combined choirs of the United Church and Goldenaires raised funds to honour their late Choir director Marigay Wilson.  On Thursday, September 11, a ceiling tile was presented to the Meaford Hospital Auxiliary in memory of Marigay.

Two Cell Tower Meetings This Week

cell tower David Burbach225A group of Meaford residents concerned about the plans for establishing new cell towers in the urban area of the municipality are hosting a meeting to inform the public.

Dubbed a “community crisis meeting,” by a group called Meaford 4 Safe Technology, the agenda includes a presentation from the Citizens for Safe Technology on the potential health effects that some believe are associated with prolonged proximity to cell towers.

Harbour Cell Tower Lease Could be Deferred


A special meeting of council will be held on Monday September 15, and at that meeting council could defer the proposed lease of harbour land for the installation of a Rogers cell tower.
