sue richardson obit 225Susan Richardson of Meaford passed away peacefully at Campbell House (Hospice Georgian Triangle) on September 12, 2015 in her 74th year.

She was the beloved wife of Francis Richardson of Meaford and loving mother of John and Jean, both of London; and grandmother of John’s children Chelsea and Alexa.

Susan was the dear sister of Penny (David) Wellcock of Niagara-on-the-Lake, and Nanci (Lenard) Taylor of Langley, B.C. Predeceased by her parents Charles and Louise (nee Lander) Page and her brother Charles Alexander ‘Sandy’ Page, and will be remembered by Margaret ‘Peggy’ Page of Toronto.

Obituary: Peter Edward Doran

doran obitBeloved husband, father and grandfather Peter Doran passed away Sunday April 19, 2015 at Collingwood General and Marine Hospital.Born in Meaford Ontario, he graduated from Meaford High School and attended the University of Toronto before starting work as a service engineer for IBM, a career which lasted for 32 years.

Shortly before his retirement in 1988, Peter purchased Oxmead Orchards near Meaford, and built his own home there with the help of his sons.

Obituary: Harding, Robert Frank 'Bob'

harding obitBorn in Yarmouth, Nova Scotia, a son of the late Robert Allan and Barbara Martha (née Nickerson) Harding, Bob passed away unexpectedly at his home in Meaford on Sunday March 22, 2015 at the age of 61.

Bob is remembered as the devoted husband and companion of 42 years of Wilda (née Brown) Harding who recently and tragically predeceased him in December 2014.

He is recalled as a loving father, Dad and ‘Grampy’ by his son Chris Harding and his wife Heather of Meaford and their daughters Shalyn, Farrah and Summer, and by his daughter Jennifer and her husband Rick Johnston also of Meaford and their children Heather and Abby.

Obituary: Nanderam, Sheila

nanderam obitOn Thursday October 16 2014, at the age of 68 and in the presence of her family, our mom (Denvy, Rawle, Dave) and dad’s (Frank) wife passed away in Barrie succumbing to idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis of the lungs.

Sheila was born and married in Trinidad. She and Frank raised their family, lived and worked in Meaford between 1973 and 1994. She is still connected to the golden town through her many dear friends as well as family (sister Molly; niece Debra).
